MAKE A STRONG START
Good artwork.
Great results.
A little preparation makes a big difference. Here’s how to get your artwork ready and find the right garment.
Accepted Files
Vector art (.ai, .eps, .pdf, .svg) is best. High-res .png or layered .psd at 300 dpi also work.
Resolution
Raster artwork should be at least 300 dpi at the final print size so edges stay crisp.
Colors
Send Pantone (PMS) values for the closest match. RGB or CMYK files will be converted.
Sizing & Placement
Include the finished decoration size and where it should sit on the item.

EMBROIDERY · ARTWORK SIZES
How big should my
embroidered logo be?
Not too big, not too small. Oversized designs get stiff and heavy on thin fabric, and tiny ones lose their details. Here’s what works best. We’ll always suggest a size and send a proof before anything is stitched.
Smaller is better
Simple logos look best, especially on soft, unstructured caps like dad hats.
- Most logos
- 1.5″ tall
- Largest
- 5.5″ wide × 2.25″ tall
Keep it solid
Knit stretches, so filled-in, patch-style designs hold up better than thin outlines.
- Most logos
- 1.5″ tall
- Largest
- 3.75″ wide × 2.25″ tall
Left chest
On thin tees, keep it modest so the fabric doesn’t pucker. Sweatshirts and jackets can handle more.
- Most logos
- 2.5″ × 2.5″
- Largest
- 3.75″ × 3.75″
When in doubt, simplify
Thread can’t reproduce everything a screen can, so tiny details get muddy.
- Text
- At least ¼″ tall
- Lines & details
- At least 1 mm (0.04″)
